San Francisco Builder is Pretender to Irish Dukedom

Aristocracy, Britain, History, Ireland

line

Paul Fitgerald, a San Francisco construction manager, claims that he is the descendant of an heir believed killed in the trenches in WWI, but who actually emigrated to North America. If he is able to establish his claim Paul Fitzgerald would become 9th Duke of Leinster, and first peer of Ireland.

I would like to get in touch with Paul Fitzgerald, Can you help?

The recognised head of the Fitzgerald family has suffered enough! I sincerely wish him the very best.
What is to be gained by riding rough-shod over the down-throdden 9th duke? If the American feels he really is the rightful duke, he could start by showing true nobillity and letting the matter rest. After all, half of Europe can show royal or noble ancestry but choose not to advertise.
