That is the Big Lie being circulated by open borders players to con the stupid. If our immigration laws were enforced, especially at the employer level, then illegals would self-deport. There would be no reason to stay if they couldn’t find work. And, after all, they were able to get themselves up here in the first place, and with less cash in their pockets. Among all the negatives caused by illegal immigration, one of the worst is that it's a slap in the face of American sovereignty. We are going through a period of globalization where elites are pushing for a world government and an end to the concept of nation states, an end to American sovereignty and an end to our Bill of Rights. The open borders movement is part of this. That’s why it has been supported by communist and other leftist groups. I should think, David, that you of all people would see this. I think you can understand those who are suspicious that this is a continuation of that pattern. This country needs lots of immigration. It also needs to be able to choose the kind of immigrants it allows and have mechanisms for enforcing those choices.
