Sent it off to the middle kid who left a year ago w a full ROTC scholarship at an Ivy, and who has now joined the ranks of the PC with most of the typical undergrad vapidity of political thought.  Partly predictable rebellion from a conservative, religious upbringing, partly just the influence of PC surroundings at school.  

The stifling of free speech was starting when I was a college journalist and my peers were all rabid socialists, but one could still debate without being automatically shouted down and branded a racist/Beast Raban because one disagreed with the party line. 

Excuse my rant, but the post hit a nerve.  Great blog.</description>
