The Obama administration's estimates of federal debt include assumptions about eocnomic growth that are not possible -- precisely because the administration will be sucking the lifeblood out of the capital markets and raising taxes on growth enterprises and individuals.
After the recession of the early 80s, the United States experienced a 25 year period of above average growth -- because the government promoted a stable currency and reduced the economic drag of taxation. The Obama administration is doing precisely the opposite and still forecasting rapid growth. Can't happen.
