Why Republicans Were Suggesting Women Should Register For the Draft

HandtoHandCombat

Casey Klahn, at American Digest, explains to all the confused out there why female Selective Service Registration is being talked about in Congress.

The idea of selective service registration for women… is simply to score a big political expose, or gotchya, against the Obamatics, who have declared that every combat job in the military is now open to women. Including shitting on your shovel, hand to hand combat (called “hand to gland combat” in the infantry), and pissing while walking.

Many – I want to say most – men cannot handle the rigors of combat arms jobs, and it is reflected in the wash out rates just in the infantry. The two things the flurry of studies before this stroke-of-a-pen change have proven about women in combat arms are: if the president says women shall graduate Ranger school, then farking wimmin shall farking graduate farking Ranger school, and the standards shall be de facto lowered.

Perhaps they’ll make the combat a bit more feminine to make up for the shortfall.

Meanwhile, at the same time, the military will now account for global warming in all activities. I’m serious about that: they must write it into every op order at every level of command. See? Just when you thought Obama was through fukking with the army, he has more up his sleeve. I cannot wait to see what’s next.

Women need to be drafted. Only one argument against it is the likely increase in war crimes they will commit.

If I read you correctly, which is to say that women are entirely unfit for enrollment in the combat arms, I cry bullshit!

First – Kipling: “Deadlier than the man”
Second: recent suicide bombers are as likely to be women as men.

I do not know for sure what your position is (nicely slipped the issue .. you seem to oppose but you are careful to not espouse a position .. wussss!)

.. but if you are trying to say that women are(a) not appropriate members of the combat arms, or (b) women should not be drafted ….

… well, I posit that there are women who would welcome combat in ‘open arms’ (sorry!) and that we should welcome them.

Draft? Perhaps not. That never worked so well in the 1970’s, when most of the men I worked with were drafted. Including myself, an E6/Infantry, who didn’t want to go but did any way … as did the majority of my co-conspirators in combat.

I’m not saying that most women would willingly answer the call, so perhaps we should reconsider women as “encouraged” volunteers in the combat arms.

But if your argument is that women are entirely unsuited to combat, I refer you to Kipling”
” … Deadlier Than The male …”

(Apologies if this seems disjointed; I’m not sure, but the format disallows the ready opportunity to review before posting.)

“…a whole band of foreigners will be unable to cope with one [Gaul] in a fight, if he calls in his wife, stronger than he by far and with flashing eyes; least of all when she swells her neck and gnashes her teeth, and poising her huge white arms, begins to rain blows mingled with kicks, like shots discharged by the twisted cords of a catapult”

–Ammianus Marcellinus

“A Celtic woman is often the equal of any Roman man in hand-to-hand combat. She is as beautiful as she is strong. Her body is comely but fierce. The physiques of our Roman women pale in comparison.”

–An unidentified Roman soldier

But in reality, not all positions filled by draftees have been in the combat arms. And these days, one can bomb the enemy and pick up the kids at school on time.

Women are entirely unsuited for combat arms, Kipling notwithstanding.

It looks like this Big Stupid Idea will keep marching forward until it ends in tragedy.

It is a military destroying joke. Most of those who advocate for women in the military have never been in the military and the rest are covertly trying to sabotage our defense.
