I remember when Goldwater was running for president everyone said if you vote for Goldwater we will go to war in Vietnam. I was 21, voting for the first time and I was in the Air Force. Sure enough I voted for Goldwater and we went to war in Vietnam. I have been so ashamed and sad ever since.
