Given the stark contrast of choice and the overwhelming evidence against the Obama administration, this should be a landslide of epic proportion. But it won’t be. We have most likely passed the tipping point where the number of people opting for the apathy and stagnation of the welfare state exceeds those opting for traditional American values. A Romney administration may put a temporary halt to that slide, but I fear it will be exceedingly difficult to bring about the true reversal that is necessary. Twenty years after Reagan left office, it’s as if we learned nothing from him.
The frightening fact is that if Obama had been even a tiny fraction as smart as Clinton in positioning himself after his mid-term debacle, he would be reelected. Ironically, Thank God for Obama’s arrogance.
