Genuine UFOs Filmed by US Navy?

,

Popular Mechanics has posted three UFO videos which it says are real videos taken from US Navy aircraft.

The U.S. Navy has confirmed that three online videos purportedly showing UFOs are genuine. The service says the videos, taken by Navy pilots, show “unexplained aerial phenomena,” but also states that the clips should have never been released to the public in the first place.

I’ve taken up this endlessly mysterious mystery.

Well, of course, UFO’s are real. There are photographs, radar blips, and visual sightings of them going back decades.

But the whole point is “unidentified.” No one knows what is in the photos or radar screens.

The likelihood that they are alien space ships is zero. The principle that effect follows cause requires that no object or message can travel from one point to another faster than light, and that includes worm holes in space-time. You can’t transit them or send messages through them.

Yes, of course, flying objects you can’t identify are Unidentified Flying Objects. The claim that they might be space aliens joy-riding around our planet is a wild leap of logic. How about treating this with Occam’s Razor, giving the wildest claims the gimlet eye and looking to more likely claims as explanations. For example, bugs in the recording gear. Optical illusions.

Generally, anything you see moving rapidly in the sky without making a monster sonic boom is a reflection. The idea that space aliens are chasing our Navy jets around is about as likely as space aliens are stealing your socks out of the dryer.

Socks! I thought it was gremlins. Can they fly?
