I read Double Gun Journal for the same reasons that I read Playboy… places I’ll never go and things I’ll never handle.

My Setters and I have stumbled around Grouse woods for a longer period of time than I care to remember. Very few times in those decades did I encounter anybody with a double.
A few O/Us. I have friends with a couple of SXS guns, but, all but one has aged out of the game.
Of late, I mostly have the woods to myself. Few of us remain.
So it goes.
