The loss of Soviet tanks is so high in Ukraine that some talking heads are speculating that Russia is simply trying to purge their old armor from their ranks so that they can justify replacing them with the newer tanks. But the reality is Armored vehicles in a rolling wooded environment is more like a shooting gallery than an effective tactic. We could be seeing the justification for the elimination of tanks from modern warfare.

Drones may well be the new warfare tactic and I don’t necessarily mean those mostly ineffective Iranian drones.
