There are, of course, large numbers of really bright young people capable of independent critical thought at the top elite schools. Unfortunately, there are even larger numbers of Lumpen-Icy-Leaguers, tools, grade-grubbing climbing conformists, who make up the noisy Woke minority whose voices are always presented in the establishment media.
It is kind of astonishing though that major business corporations would, having interviewed someone like her, actually hire her and allow her to make such obviously disastrous policy decisions.
“Hey, guys! How about we just drop our uncool, old-time customers? Those people are dinosaurs. We need to sell beer to diverse young people like me!” Genius, sheer genius. She’ll probable go on to be hired as head of advertising for NASCAR or Copenhagen snuff!

These days, people like her, people even at the C level at these big corporations, are not thinking strategically about the long term success of the companies they’re working for.
They’re thinking tactically about their next career move. What happens to Anheuser-Busch or Inbev doesn’t matter one bit–she’ll always be the brave woman (or whatever it is) who Spoke Truth to Power™ and was On The Right Side of History™. She’ll take the big payout and leverage that into her next five year gig.

She’s a perfect example of the incompetent elite. They are either unaware of, or capable of ignoring, their obvious failures and irrationality.
They think they run the world. Little do they realize that we tolerate them, up to a point. That point has arrived.

Once, long ago, I had her job for the Wheaties Brand. My predecessor had the bright idea to drop the sports heritage of the brand in favor of touting its high bran content (Bran Fiber was a hot topic then). You can probably easily guess what happened. We went back to the sports positioning and hired Bruce Jenner to be the brand spokesman. First share gains in many years. Given what happened to Bruce, I guess I can claim to be prematurely Woke.

This chick wants a high paying position with a really woke company. Maybe it’s a marketing position. Maybe it’s getting signed by CNN or the like to be a commentator. (“That incredibly brave, principled birthing person who turned the frat drink into transgender beverage is here to present more information about ESG…”)
