I was working at a hospital right when Obummer-care was being implemented. There was already a HUGE number of people who worked in records, a mysterious windowless room that took up a vast expanse of floor space. But a sizable percentage of people in nursing, housekeeping, and facilities had to be fired in order to HIRE technical people to make the hospital compliant with the Electronic Medical Records part of the law. Oh, and we also had to scramble for a ton more real estate to house the new EMR workers, for a sizable chunk of change.

Now, there’s a lot I like about MyChart, but one thing I DESPISE is the fact that it comes from a PRIVATELY-OWNED company that was pretty much the ONLY company that produced a product compliant with the electronic medical records requirement. And the owner? A big Obama bundler. There’s a surprise.
