It’s a slippery slope. If it wasn’t for the 2nd amendment and honest judges we would have lost our right to own guns decades ago. The left, the communist leaning left, wants to take our guns, for our own safety don’tcha know. But in truth they want to take then for the same reason every communist regime, every dictatorship, wanted to take them; so that they could then take away all your rights and have absolute power over you.

I have Canadian friends who are very resentful of their government taking their guns. But if you say the obvious, i.e. that it is the precursor to tyranny they suddenly become 100% supporters of their government. They are in that awkward in between period where they love their country and can’t believe their government would do that but yet the government took their gun rights for trumped up reasons AND has actually become more tyrannical.

Covid 19 was a test run of what the government could get away with. We all remember it seemed very real to us all at the time; Our lives and our children’s lives were in danger and our government was there to save us by restricting our rights. We all agreed that 6 feet was the magic distance and one way super market aisles would save lives and anyone daring to disagree should rightly be thrown in jail forever. We cheered as 6 heavily armed police beat and arrested that lone surfer who clearly was putting our children’s lives at risk with his disregard of common sense rules. We would all have gladly taken turns beating him for his disregard of anti-constitutional dictats from “scientists” and lawmakers.
