Well of course the sun’s effect and the ending of the mini ice age are why we experienced a mild global warming over the last 200 years or so. That is the obvious answer. But where is the money and power in an answer like that? Never waste a crisis even if you have to make up a crisis.

That we can significantly alter the direction of the earth’s climate is preposterous, but there is no money to be made taking that position.
You cannot affect the Chief’s performance by wearing a KC jersey while watching the game. But the merch people need you to believe it.
