The Never Yet Melted blog began posting in October of 2025. Things change. Twenty years later, social media (Facebook, Tiktok, Instagram) and Substacks have essentially replaced blogs a vehicles for sharing content and opinion. Blog traffic has plummeted.
And the three-headed geeks running WordPress keep supplying UPDATES. Updates that change quotation marks, apostrophes, em- and en-dashes, and accented and foreign characters into gobbledygook. This is very annoying.
Substacks are different. And the technology is different. But new things are interesting.

I understand why you’re doing this but it saddens me. Everything is now $6/mo here, $7/mo there, and pretty soon it adds up to serious money. And i can’t afford it. I’ll read the occasional posts that I get to for free, but I’ll miss being about to comment. Thanks for the years…
