I have heard comment that there is no sense in prosecuting those that commit voter fraud – particularly if it can’t be proved that it would have changed the outcome.

Thats not the point. We can never know the true level of voter fraud (short of a foolproof national ID). Not prosecuting known cases of fraud encourages more under-the-radar activity. The result is that OUTCOMES MAY BE CHANGED by fraud, and we will never know.

The system is truely broken, and with it Democracy.
