La Belle France’s answer to Dagny Taggart, glamorous libertarian Sabine Herold, is running for a seat in the French Assembly, and the libertarian and the right side of the Blogosphere is justifiably echoing with expressions of admiration for both the lady’s political soundness and the lady’s charms.
If the French fail to support her, they deserve to wind up like those folks having a problem in the train tunnel.

I am glad as a Frenchman to see at last some of my fellow citizens back in the old country starting to question the tenets of media and State propaganda. Sabine Herold and the Liberal Alternative strike me nevertheless as well-intentioned people who still have a lot to learn, which is due to the fact that their attraction to neo con thinking doesn’t scratch the surface and that they don’t seem to have developed genuinely strong ties with the English speaking world. They have yet to really break free from French cultural and linguistic isolation and to connect to the Anglospherean world of thought. Sadly enough, very few French are at that stage, even among those living in the US or other English-speaking countries.
