Having been born and raised in “townies and immigrants” I have to say the map is funny but so understates that which is Massachusetts. I especially laughed at “white Florida”. But I would point out that all the coast is “wicked cold beaches” especially in early summer. As a child my skin would turn red and my lips blue and my mother would say come out of the water it’s too cold; I would insist “I’m not cold” through my shivering teeth. We go back to visit every year but all/most of my relatives and friends have moved to New Hampshire. We stay in a motel on Route 1 not too far from Boston (easy acces to everywhere) and close to a restaurant that serves fried clams. But if you go don’t miss “witches, fisherman and quaint ass farms” Visit Essex for 200 year old churches and homes and Cape Ann for a beautiful coastline. Don’t forget King’s Beach in Lynn (King’s Lynn) and enjoy a lobster roll at Anthony’s in Swampscott. Don’t walk around in “Mill towns and methadone” especially after dark. If you love history walk the “freedom trail” in “The hub of the universe”.
