I think we should follow the law. Would we choose not to arrest and punish a rapist or bank robber because they work hard? We need a very specific change in the law; it should be a felony to be in this country illegally, period.

JDZ, circumstances matter. Born here, here legally, and transgressions have one set of consequences. Here illegally, different story. I have no problem with that.
