A locket with hair from Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley and her husband, Percy Bysshe Shelley. Bodleian Library, Oxford.
My daughter-in-law had a baby that lived only hours. She had it cremated and incorporated the ashes into a tattoo of the babies name on her abdomen. (I don’t particularly approve of it but it is what it is.)
My wife had a piece of jewelry made with the fingerprint of her dad in it. Certainly better in my mind then the tattoo and even the hair locket.
