“At Home in the Sky”

Chuck Yeager interviewed in 1991 in Grass Valley, CA on aerial combat. This footage came on VHS with the deluxe edition of Chuck Yeager’s Air Combat flight simulation game in 1991.

One Feedback on "“At Home in the Sky”"

Pop history glorifies air combat ever since the press romanticized the fighter pilots of WWI as knights in the sky. In reality, air combat in WWII was a grim business where four men died for every one wounded, flipping the rate of infantry casualties. If you flew combat in WWII, it was a Verdun in the sky.
