Last year my wife and I attended the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. We have been attending for about 10 years and it seems to us that the Dr. Seuss mention here may just be a little too highbrow for Ashland. What you get there are Elvis impersonators, people running around in fishing waders, and the most distracting costuming and scenery possible. We have now sworn off Ashland, as their collective artistic license is reminiscent of first graders performing Shakespeare; and my apologies to the first graders.
