I’m sure this question will never get asked of them, but I’d like to know whether they do feel any responsibility. My guess is they’ve have been so thoroughly brainwashed by the media that the thought has never occurred to them.

Another way to ask the question is this. If racial climate is the cause of the behavior of people like Brown, how is it that millions of other poor black families manage to raise their children in such a way that they aren’t out robbing and assaulting the police? Did Brown’s parents take him to church when he was a kid? What values did they personally model to him during his upbringing? Was Michael constantly hearing things like “Burn this motherf—er down”?
