p.s. If interested I suggest readers read some of R.W. Peake’s historical novels on the Roman Legions of Caesar’s time. The first is titled: Marching With Caesar: Birth of the 10th Legion. Peake has attempted to be historically accurate in portraying Legion life and death. He shows how the Legions were built and used, the nature of the ranks and leaders. The series is well done.
