No ACTUAL crime? That won’t stop them. They’ll search until they find some sort of procedural crime– like the special prosecutor did with Scooter Libby. Libby was convicted of offering misleading testimony to an inconclusive investigation of a non-crime. This is precisely why special prosecutors should not be appointed in the first place.
