Sam, I think we did send men to the moon, but so far, while we theoretically could stop the importation of illegal drugs, we cannot, in practical terms; we don’t have the collective, political will. And, if we did, a domestic production market would certainly take up the slack. Likewise, we cannot stop the importation of illegal arms, but then, there is ample supply in the US already, as far as I can tell, and if not, domestic theft and production could fill the gap.

If we can send men to the moon, surely we can stop people from arguing in non sequiturs.

And don’t forget, America stopped people from drinking alcohol from 1920 to 1933.

The American Congress can do anything, including repeal the laws of physics and economics.

The problem isn’t guns, no more than it is illegal drugs, racism, Islamophobia, misogyny, halitosis, or, etc. The top issue should be the American descent from a peaceful, prosperous democracy to a vicious, bankrupt tyranny on the lip of the abyss.
