Silliman Associate Master Nicholas Christakis told to “shut up” by screaming student.
Katy Waldman, Yale ’10, writes for Slate, is a recent graduate, and is obviously no conservative, but even she was shocked.
I was shocked to watch students treat their professors and administrators with such disrespect. But horrified emotional responses aside, it’s troubling to see the Christakises scapegoated for defending the crucial liberal tradition of free speech. That’s not to dismiss the pain of students of color; I’m sure Yale proves far less hospitable to them than to the wealthy white scions it was founded to serve. Nor should anyone mourn the days of good old college fun, when wearing a racist Halloween costume was considered a harmless bit of white wing-spreading. But in censuring the Christakises for wanting to create “an intellectual space,†students are vociferously exercising the very rights—to speak out against people and practices they find objectionable—that the Christakises seem to want to protect.

A number of current students at Yale did not like her article one bit.

It is like watching a training video for Alinsky rules for radicals. The thing to remember about the SJW is everything they do is phony and everything they say is lies. Seriously no adult could possibly be so ‘sheltered’ that ‘taco night’ scares them into a ‘safe place’. The real risk here is that anyone takes them serious. The only possible and correct response to these fools is a loud and continuing horse laugh. The louder their tantrum the louder you should laugh at them.

There will be no jobs when they graduate. Good.

On idiot liberals (I repeat myself again):
“At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child — miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosophy of sniveling brats.â€

No reason for Katy to be shocked if she’d kept her eyes and ears open, but she was too busy learning how to be a guilty white liberal (as shown in much of the paragraph).

The professor’s mistake was he thought he was having an intelligent discussion and he grossly over estimated his opponent’s intelligence. Do not talk to someone like this. Talk over their heads to any intelligent people or talk in a controlled situation with other intelligent people but don’t get into the mud with people who are this ignorant.
