“almost no cops” means that there will be no police to stop the homeowners from defending their property and lives. Also, you, the protestor, will bleed a long time before someone comes along to apply a pressure bandage.

I live in a quiet part of a very red state.
It’s quite peaceful here. The people are quiet and peaceful. Know why? Because not only do we value peace and quiet, we INSIST on it. Our roads aren’t crawling with cops and ambulances because we expect, and insist, that people conduct themselves decently. Don’t mistake our bucolic nature for passivity and cowardice. We are nice when everyone’s nice. If someone intrudes to make our lives less peaceful, less quiet, less nice, we will deal with that someone, and then everything will be nice again. Fair warning.

That’s a bold strategy, Cotton. Let’s see how it plays out for them.

What they don’t seem to understand is that the reason they got away with the burning and looting is because liberal governors and mayors allowed it in fact held the police back. That won’t happen in small town middle America.
